"Over the last 2 years I’ve learned that I can do hard things. I can almost pinpoint the moment that this light bulb went off. I was in a BodyPump class, pushing through a challenging set of squats, and I always know I worked hard when I’ve got sweat dripping from my elbows and I’m out of breath.
My wonderful instructor, Karen, always motivates me to keep on going. Through her inspirational yelling at me above the loud music and positive energy in the room, she’s taught me that I can do more than I think, liking pushing through the pain, doing something hard together makes us all stronger together, I'm a stronger person than when I entered the gym, and if I want to CHANGE, then I have to CHALLENGE myself. then Karen yelled about doing hard things and becoming stronger. I thought, "HECK YA! I can do hard things! And I LOVE it!"
My mind continued to think about all the hard things I’ve overcome. I’ve struggled with depression, discouragement, feelings of low self worth, negative self-talk, but in that moment I realized that all the challenges I had gone through had made me a pretty strong person!"
